The AXIS Sup and Surf foil package is a well engineered, carefully designed, high end product suitable for paddle surfing or SUP. The unique joints of the fuselage to wing and fuselage to mast create an incredibly stiff but simple joint which promotes stability at all speeds.
The SUP/Surf foil package comes with a neat travel case, 68cm front wing, fuselage, hardware, teflon gel, 68cm mast and tools. You need to select the size of the stabilizer and also the size of the front wing for your chosen application. The 50cm wing is ideal for getting maximum potential from pumping the larger wings (92cm and 102cm). Most other wings use the 44cm stabilizer, but any combination of mast length, tail and main wing
AXIS Headquarters is in Maui and New Zealand, and under the guidance of Adrian Roper, the design crew has come up with some amazing products that are changing the industry. The AXIS Foils division has been created to focus on the foiling disciplines of Kite, SUP, Surf, Wave, Wind, and Pump. It’s still in its early stages – who knows where Surf and SUP hyrdrofoiling is heading, but we want to make it there and take you with us.
There are currently five different setups with the following wing spans: 68/75/82/92/102 cm. Adrian has analyzed the requirements of surf/SUP foiling and discovered that the weakness of all current other designs was flexibility of the board to foil connection and especially the wings to the fuselage and the fuselage to the mast. Adrian’s mast/wing/board connection is the stiffest, strongest and most durable on the market today.
Generally used with 60 or 75cm mast, but some riders are using 90cm too, which we do have in stock normally. Tuttle box board adapters are available too.
Wings are high modulus carbon over CNC shaped Pawlonia, with an ABS insert to isolate the carbon from the alloy fuselage.
Most popular wings for riding waves with surfboards are 68/75/82cm and 92cm, most popular mast is 75cm, and for SUP 60 or 75cm. Some local surfers near me in Lennox Head are using 90cm mast, as they are getting into steeper waves from 2-4′. This is a super exciting time to be watching a new sport grow, there is no better way to enjoy small summer swells we tend to get over the summer months.
